GLAM Squad

2018-19 Team

G.L.A.M. stands for Girls' Leadership and Marketing. The squad is a team made up of Year 10 girls who work alongside the PE Department and girls in the lower years to achieve goals and carry out initiatives that are set at the start of each year.

2018-19 saw the formation of the very first LGGS GLAM Squad - and what a success it was! Over the year the group planned workshops for younger girls, added in a new award presented at sports day, delivered a whole school assembly on the topic of body confidence, and the group were even shortlisted for the 'Best GLAM' group award at the Girls Active 2018 Awards. Year 11 student L.McClintock even won the 'Personal Growth' award and travelled down to House of Lords at the end of October to recieve her award: representing the entire department and the core beliefs it holds.

Our new team has been selected! After an overwhelming amount of applications and through interviews we have made a new team that we are sure will make the departing team proud! We can't wait to see what the future holds for the new team.
